What do I need to provide for claim?

 – Bill of Lading / Air waybill / CMR or other consignment note
– Commercial invoice supporting value and terms of sale / purchase
– Freight invoice
– Packing list
– Correspondence holding the carriers and other third parties responsible and any reply
– Photographs (if applicable)
– Repair estimates (if applicable)
– Bank Details Please note that Underwriters reserve the right to request further information and documentation until they are satisfied that the loss is within the terms of the policy and properly quantified

Does the underwriter visit the damaged product?

Underwriters may wish to appoint a surveyor to inspect the damaged cargo – for this reason, repair should not commence without Underwriters agreement 

How long to be paid?

For small shipments by e-Commerce (covered under e-Commerce category), the payment of a damage takes about 7 days For larger shipments by Airfreight, Sea Freight, it might take 1 month depending on the accuracy of the received documents and inspection
